This is the first book I've read by Cecelia Ahern. I like her writing style. Her writing is fluent which makes it easy to read. She's also very descriptive, so you are able to picture what she's writing about. The banter and dialogue between the characters is humorous. Especially Turkey Boy. While I like the way the book was written, I don't know that I find the whole story line believeable. I don't really know that I believe the main character learned any sort of lesson. If circumstances were different, I think he might continue to be the same jerk that he had been throughout the entire story. We only appreciate what we have when we no longer have it. The author encourages us to not waste the precious time we are given but to make the most of it by spending it with those who are most important to us...our families and friends.

I HAVE AND WILL WRITE ON ALL OF CECELIA'S BOOKS THAT SHE IS AN INCREDIBLE AUTHOR, SHE ALWAYS GIVES SUCH GREAT DETAIL TO EVERYTHING SHE WRITES. I FIND MYSELF REACHING FOR THE REMOTE TO PUSH PAUSE ON THE TV BECAUSE I FORGET ITS NOT A MOVIE I'M WATCHING, I'M READING A BOOK!
IN THIS BOOK, I FIND MYSELF TRYING TO RUSH TO THE ENDING, NOT BECAUSE ITS BORING, BUT BECAUSE I CANT SEEM TO READ FAST ENOUGH TO GET TO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
THIS BOOK HAS A SUCH CREATIVITY AND SUCH IMAGINATION. IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY AND SAD ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
TOP OF MY MUST READS AND SHOULD BE ON YOURS TOO.

A story within a story. Doesn't happen, but was perfect for a holiday book meant to share a lesson to all readers. A young man is caught throwing a turkey through his father and step-mothers window heads to the police station where the police share a touching story to help him learn a valuable lesson.

The story within the story centered around Lou who is a person who is always looking to the next appointment and where he is headed next. I have to admit that there are moments in life where I am definitely guilty for appreciating what is currently going on, so even though the lesson was blatantly obvious from the beginning, it was beneficial to read this story to remember to soak up each moment as it is happening.
