Carol B. reviewed The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are on
Helpful Score: 3
This is one of the best self-help books I have seen in the history of self-help books.
She has expanded definitions of words we take for granted, that we have preconceived notions about. Then she offers an expanded idea, and suggestions for self-help.
The author also has a TED talk available on YouTube.
A reminder of positive behaviors such as authenticity, self-compassion, resilience, and gratitude to encompass "wholehearted" living and a description of author's personal journey through this process from researcher Dr. Brene Brown.
