Very fast read and makes you wish it was at least 200 pages longer.

This was a great read, especially since I work with at risk adolescents similar to the ones the author worked with. I found it inspired me to work harder with my students, just as she did. The students she worked with stole her heart. She writes about them so they steal the readers heart as well. I truly recommend this book to all educators and those who are interested in helping kids stay in school. It will help you understand their plight.

"The boys brought guns to school, got drunk, sold drugs. They grabbed her attention. The girls sat in the back of the class. They stole her heart."
