I enjoyed this book very much. Being an adult was surprised to see it was listed as a children's book. It was riveting with suspense and family relationships. A book you can not put down .

I'm always searching for new books for my students. This is one of the best young adult books I've read in ages. It's about 3 brothers who suddenly lose their mother. Because of his overwhelming grief, the father decides that he and the boys will spend a year sailing the Bahamas. But the story is full of adventure. The father disappears, a large storm ensues, and they are shipwrecked.

It's full of action and I quickly became attached to the three brothers. Their relationship is charming. Definitely a "boy book", but I know girls will enjoy it too.

Great book, especially for middle school boys. Lots of action and you cannot easily predict the outcome.
