Interesting, if somewhat repetitive collection of stories and poems about the spirit of nature in its many guises. The best efforts are by Neil Gaiman (a lovely poem about becoming the wild man of the woods), Emma Bull (a coming of age tale set in the Californian desert), Michael Cadnum (a retelling of the Greek myth of Daphne), Gregory Maguire (a whimsical version of Jack and the Beanstalk), and Delia Sherman (a teen faces a faery challenge in New York's Central Park).
