This book is full of gorgeous, full color, often full-page photographs of vegetables. That's really the only positive thing I can say about it. Anyone with any gardening experience whatsoever will find the gardening advice extremely lacking. Pretty much: "plant indoors in pots, set out after last frost date" sums up the gardening wisdom in this tome. The information about pests, diseases, and other problems you might have encompasses about 2 pages of material. Cucumber beetles aren't even listed as problem cucumbers might have. Squash bugs aren't listed for squashes. No mention of Jerusalem artichokes being invasive. And so forth. If you like to look at beautiful photos of veggies, get this book. Otherwise, a seed catalog is more helpful for planting advice.
