I liked this one a lot. There was a real emotional struggle between the characters. It felt more like a real relationship -- compromises and all.

Still a keeper but not my favorite of the series. The h/h were so wildly divergent in their careers - which were definitely avocations, not merely vocations, for them both. Their unique solution to their very different wants and needs from life was interesting - I wasn't sure how they were going to manage their 'happily ever after'.

Continuing the epic story of the planet Celta and the psychic-gifted ("flared") inhabitants. Del is a gifted cartographer, enjoying her travels in the wilderness. Raz is an actor in the largest city on Celta, Druida, and definately likes his civilized comforts. Del knows that Raz is her HeartMate, but, by the HeartMate laws, she cannot tell him until he has accepted her HeartGift willingly and without knowing it is a HeartGift. This is a wonderfully told story as they meet, are attracted, and become lovers. Del is independent enough enough to walk away if necessary - if Raz doesn't accept the HeartGift and bonding. As this series has developed, so have the animal familiars (Fams), telepathic cats, dogs, foxes, and others.
