This is the 3rd and final saga of the North and South triology. I was facinated with all three of the series book. I love Civil War era stories. This is the ending of how the 2 families survived the war years and the aftermath. If you love stories similar to Gone With the wind, this series of books is for you.

If you liked any of the John Jakes novels, this is a must have. It is a story of the Mains of South Carolina and the Hazards of Pennsylvania after the Civil War. The plot uses history interwoven with the fates of these two families. If you like John Jakes' novels, you will love this one.

This is the last book in the North And South series, a sage of the civil war. In this book, the civil war has ended but there is still no peace.

Heaven And Hell is the sequel to North and South by the same author. It was riveting for anyone into antibellum old south historical fiction.
