On first glance, this isn't a book I expected to like. Dark, more hero-comic than manga-like, evil bad things running about and eating people.

However, good story, good characters, and good art can overcome many issues. I found myself pulled into the story and intrigued by the characters. I am glad it is in color--while the story and characters would survive, and the artwork would still be good, the color is well chosen and accents the artwork and atmosphere well.

Looking for the rest of the series now. I am impressed.
