I read the backcover of this book a few months ago and finally got it up on my "to read" list. I have never read a book by Stephen Frey so was looking forward to a new author. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. I cannot believe how much the book jumps around in the first 50-100 pages, moving from character to character without a smooth transition. I found it to be very choppy, no consistency. I finally quit reading the book after about 150 pages which I normally do not do even if I don't think the book is 5 star. I just couldn't get involved in the storyline.
