Everything I expected and much more from Salvatore. This is a great book with some great action sequences and a great story.

Eh, not really Salvatore's best work, IMHO. A little slow for my taste, it didn't hold my interest for very long after the prologue. The first chapter seemed to drag on an age. Again, not his best.

My husband really liked the book and is a pretty big RA Salvatore fan.
This is the first Salvatore book I've read. The beginning seemed dry and I actually read another book in between a few chapters. The middle got really good and I couldn't put it down, but then I wasn't that happy with the last chapters. Overall, I think if you like Salvatore and are interested in the other books about the Highwayman, go for it. If this is your first attempt at his work, try something else instead.
