Love, love, love this book. I was raised on it and now, as a mom myself, refer to it often while book hunting. A great gift for a new mom along with your favorite picture book for baby. This newer edition has an updated book list. If you like booklists, you may want to pick up an older edition from PBS as well, as a lot of those books were taken out for the updated list.

It's well organized so it's easy to figure which books your child would most likely be interested in.
