I love underground comics! Sure, there's somewhat of a formula to them, but a good comic writer/artist can make the formula work really well, and Tommaso definitely does so in this graphic novel.
It tells the story of Fran, a young woman, and her daughter who move in with Fran's elderly mother in Florida. Things there start to bother Fran, such as the neighbors always watching, and her overactive imagination begins to get the best of her.
The book was a lot of fun. The story was interesting, but the characters were what really kept me reading it. I'd never read anything by Tommaso before, but I think I'll be looking for some of his other works.
