Cam is the youngest Wilder brother. Abandoned by their mother and hated by their father (their mother cheated), Cam was raised by his Aunt Annie. His older brothers, T.J. and Stone are supportive, but unsure of how to help him. Cam was a world famous snowboarder until an injury ended his career. He is lost and doesn't know where he fits in.
Katie thought her life was a bit boring and was stuck in a rut when she was the lone survivor of a bridge collapse. After that, she decided to overhaul her life and do things that she otherwise wouldn't have done. As a result, she quits her job as an accountant and takes a temporary job for Wilder Adventures in the small town of Wishful in the Sierras.
When Katie and Cam meet they have an instant attraction. They are eventually able to talk and stop feeling sorry for themselves. They mesh very well and are able to help overcome their past traumas.
There is a secondary romance with Annie and Nick (a Wilder brother friend); theirs is a second chance. The ending was a bit rushed I thought.
Stone does have some decent page time (his story is next) and we meet T.J. briefly (he was away for most of this book). We do briefly meet the new town doctor, Emma (Stone's love interest). Cam's ex Serena (the town baker) and Harley (the town mechanic) are interesting characters.
