Not my normal read but within the first page and a half I was hooked. Read the entire book in two sittings over a two day period. The characters, though historically fictional draw you in, making it difficult to disconnect. There never seems to be a good place to stop. If you liked Clan of the Cave Bear you will love this book. My only complaint is the second book in the series has not been published yet. Once I finished the book, I wanted to go back and re-read it immediately again.
