From my 8-year-old son: This is a good book. The brothers must save Mallory from the dwarves.
I really do enjoy this series. I think that it would be a wonderful read for children. And as an adult (in body anyways), I find them a fun and quick read. I like the series about as same as I did the movie because they are both wonderful regardless of the differences.
