Surprisingly dark book. Heroine is an impoverished princess who has been pursued by the media following the death of her grandmother. She needs to marry to secure the succession for her small island country near Italy but runs away to take a year off as a regular person before returning for her arranged marriage. Her fiancee comes to meet her in New Orleans but she doesn't recognize him and ends up falling for him. Lots of complications! Not a comedy, interesting twists and turns.
