Susan Higginbotham has a blogspot with Jean Plaidy as the sole subject.  Those of you who enjoy Plaidy's work might want to check it out.

Is anyone looking for The Queen's Secret?  I've got an older MMPB edition (publisher: Fawcett, I belive - it's at home, so I can't confirm until later) that I'll post. :)    Didn't realise this one was re-released by THree Rivers and that I have a copy already.  Oops!  So my older, gently used copy is available.  :)

Marci, I did exactly the same when the new version came out. Didn't realize I had the older one. Doh! It went to a PBSer tho. :-)

This is getting weirder and weirder. You don't have a sister named Marcia too, do you? (Yes, I do! My parents apparently were not very original...)

LMAO. For real????

My other siblings love to do the "Marcia, Marcia. Marcia" thing to my sister. We're such brats. Noone can believe my folks named us practically the same name. It was the 60's. They probably forgot they already had a Marcia....

I'm finishing up a couple Jean Plaidy/Victoria Holt books and thought I'd ask if anyone has these on their wishlist.  I'll be glad to post directly to your wishlist when I'm finished if you let me know!

My Enemy The Queen (Lettice Knollys, wife to Robert Dudley and mother to Essex)
http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780449239797-My+Enemy+The+Queen

The Queen's Husband (aka Prince Albert - not in a can)

I should be finished and ready to post both of them by the end of the week.

Ooooh I'll have to check my stash for The Queen's Husband and see if I need it or not.

I am giving my The Princess of Celle by Plaidy away free with any order off my shelf.  I accidentally placed a heavy book on top of it and didn't realize the corner was a little curled on it and now it's bent half the cover.

Wow, thanks for letting us know! I am just now getting into Jean Plaidy so I will definitely be ordering this. A hardcover too! I have never even been to this site, so this was a nice surprise. Thanks!

I have a couple of Jean Plaidy Books available.  I have not posted them yet - wanted to see if one of my HF friends wanted it first!  Just PM me and I can post to your wish list.

The Queen from Provence (Fawcett paperback from the 80's)

St Thomas's Eve (this is an old Pan paperback w/out an ISBN)

The UK has already reissued the first several volumes of the Plantagenet Series (I think up through The Prince of Darkness).  According to information I saw on Amazon UK, in February of 2008, the following will be reissued:

The Battle of the Queens

The Queen From Provence

Hammer of the Scots

The Follies of the King

Hopefully, this means that the rest of them will be reissued as well, but I think they are available only in the UK (at least so far).

That's great...at some point, I'd like to replace my old, worn copies with new ones.  Thank goodness so many people still like to read Jean Plaidy!

Can the books you mentioned be found at Book Depository?  Just curious.

I have a 1976 paperback copy of The Goldsmith's Wife by Jean PLaidy. Fawcett Crest, no ISBN and a cover price of $1.75. It's in pretty good condition just the normal yellowing of the pages. Fully intact, etc.

Does anyone have it on their WLs before I post it into the system? Just PM me.

It's the same cover as this: http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/38562-The+Goldsmiths+Wife

Beverly - it appears that the ones that have been reissued so far are available at Book Depository, so I imagine the new ones will be as well once they are released in February.  I already have the whole series, but will admit that I rather like the new covers and that they are trade size.  Most of mine are smaller paperbacks and are from different publishers.  I'm thinking it might be nice to have a pretty, new, matched set!
