Jeannette Shuart's Brisket

  • 4 to 5 lb - brisket
  • - seasoned salt
  • - celery salt
  • - garlic powder
  • - Adolph's meat tenderizer
  • 1/2 bottle - liquid smoke
  • 4 Tblsp - Worcestershire sauce

Trim as much fat as possible from the brisket.  Sprinkle and rub both sides of the brisket with the seasoned salt, celery salt, garlic powder, and meat tenderizer.  Place in a roaster pan with a cover.  Mix liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce together and pour over meat.  Refrigerate 24 hours.  Bake 8 hours at 225 degrees.  Remove from marinade.  Chill 8 hours.  Slice very thin  Serve cold, or serve hot with BBQ sauce.
