Karen Christensen is a U.S. academic publisher and writer who founded Berkshire Publishing Group in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, in 1998, after working in London at Blackwell Scientific Publications and Faber & Faber.
She has been a board member of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) Content Division and a research associate at the Society for New Communications Research. She is a member of the National Committee on United States-China Relations.
She was the senior editor of the International Encyclopedia of Women and Sports (Macmillan) and Encyclopedia of Community (Sage), and has published a number of environmental handbooks.
