great ending to triology.
Story begins in Scotland, the Northwest Highlands, in 1849. Final book in a triology in which the heros are: a lighthouse builder, a road builder and, in this book, a bridge builder. Evan Mackenzie, the new Earl of Kildonan, returns to his childhood home in the remote Highland mountains, but he's not planning to stay. Injured in a fall while mountain climbing, he's rescued during a fierce snow/ice storm by Catriona MacConn who was returning home ahead of the storm. During the storm, they stayed overnight in an abandoned hut. But then he has to save her from being exiled by her family because her reputation is ruined. He marries her..........
