Not only had her wayward brother run off with another man's chere amie, he was also accused of theft! Samantha Oakleigh desperately needed help to find the boy and clear his name, and hoped it would come from her rather starchy but well-connected cousin Edward, Lord Salverton.

Visions of scandal danced in Salverton's head when Samantha recounted the whole disastrous affair - visions of losing his promotion to the cabinet, his fiancee, and his dreams of becoming prime minister.

Thus he agreed to accompany the hoydenish chit on her rescue mission. But somewhere along the way, he began to enjoy himself and his efforts to remain the ever-so-proper gentleman began to face - as did all ambitions save gathering this delectable miss into his arms...
