HI punkin!!

I got a book recently on beginning knitting.  I have a friend that makes the most beautiful sweaters with interesting patterns in the knitting.  I have made only an afghan and a couple of scarves using the plain stockinette stitch.  I know how to purl, but haven't done it much.

What did you decide to do with your pink baby sweater?

I taught myself to crochet a couple of months ago and really like it. Now I want to teach myself knitting...but it seems so much harder to me with the two needles. Any great book or websites for learning? Do you crochet as well? I noticed the post above mine, did you already make a baby sweater? That is one of my goals since we are trying to have another baby. A little pink sweater would be great after 3 boys!

Yes I also crochet. I have been crocheting since I was 8 years old. :)

I've been knitting for a few years now...I learned when i was pregnant, and have kept up the hobby as a stress reliever.

I knit all the time, and  have taught a few classes to adults, in the past.

Would like to talk to other knitters.  Patterns, new techniques, favorite books or audiobooks, etc.

Come on over to the Games Forum.  We are talking knitting and crocheting in Knit 1, Crochet too.  We would love to have more folks join in the conversation, share patterns and even swap some yarn.

Hello...

i'm a bi-annual knitter. A person can only knit for so long in CA. I also haven't mastered reading and knitting at the same time, though I do love knitting and doing everything else.

I'm a beginner knitter.  I'm taking it up after years of being a crocheter.  I'm thinking about a sampler for the back of the love seat.  I bought a book of stitches and I'd love to try some of the stitches.  My long term goal is winter sweaters in worsted weight blue, black, brown and grey.

Hi all,

I've been crocheting for many, many years now but consider myself a novice knitter.  I'm able to make hats, scarves, and fingerless gloves.  I just recently started a sweater that's pretty simple as far as shaping goes.  I am going to check out Knit 1, Crochet too.

Here is a fantastic site for beginners and experienced knitters and crocheters, as well as other crafters.   Come join us and learn tons of things you never knew about crafting!

I've been a member(free) for years and have learned much from these people.  No matter what question you have about crafting, there is someone who knows the answer.  A VERY helpful group!

I knit.  I have knit most of my life ...not anything totally fancy but I am a regular utility type knitter.
