I remember seeing something about the rules changing and that you can now ask for a credit for unpostable books but I can't find anything in the Help Docs.  Anybody know where I could find that?  I have a whole box of unpostable DragonLance books I need to get out of the house and I'd like to post a thread in the Book Bazaar 5 for 2 or whatever anybody will offer me.  Otherwise they're going to get tossed and I HATE to throw away books. 

I think this is the link you're thinking of, but there has been a lot of discussion about this. I don't know if/where it would be posted in the help docs.

Here's where the help docs say it's okay to post ARCs for a credit in the book bazaar (not on your shelf)

This is how the help docs describe the book bazaar:

Book Bazaar

• This is the place to advertise your bookshelf and "make a deal"
  • Members often post "deals" or "bargains" in the Book Bazaar, hoping to clean out their bookshelves and earn some credits.   We do not officially support such deals (there is no credit compensation for unsatisfactory or unfulfilled swaps).
  • Members cannot offer or ask MORE than "PBS Price" for a book, but they can offer more than 1 book for a credit
  • Members cannot swap books-for-books in the Bazaar (this is limited to subscribers to Box-O-Books)
• Members also offer unpostable items here (damage books, ARCs), as incentives with a request from their bookshelves, or as "freebies" that they send free-of-charge to other members
• We ask that members not start more than one or two topics in Book Bazaar per day, and "bumping" of your topic is discouraged, as this is unfair to other members.
  • It is perfectly all right to start a topic about your bookshelf and post an update or bump every day (once a day), to let members know about any new books or deals you are offering.
• Only books may be swapped in the Book Bazaar.

Alise, apparently it's always been the "rule" but it was clarified in the last newsletter - but yes, it's fine to have a thread in the Book Bazaar asking for a credit for an unpostable (damaged or ARC).

That thread is for ARCs so people probably won't look there for regular unpostable books. You should be fine posting your own thread so long as you follow the BB rules, I don't think you need to do 25 post though :)

I know there are a couple Dragonlance lovers on the site I've dealt with so if you have some of the harder to come by ones, they should ba grabbed up right away.

You can ask a credit for unpostables in the book bazaar. You just can't post them to the WL and then ask the wisher if they want them unpostable.
