I am looking for some books like Pamela Clare's historicals, Rising Wind by Cindy Holby, and Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati.

In terms of style, I think Marsha Canham's style is similar to Pamela Clare's - lots of adventure, almost as if you were watching an old swashbuckling adventure movie, and lots of heat as well. I've only read 2 of Clare's - Untamed and Surrender - and think you might like Canham's Pale Moon Rider. (Unless you're looking for more books set in colonial America?)

Marsha Canham is one of my favorite authors.  Loved Pale Moon Rider.
