Disappointing for Nicole Byrd. It just didn't seem plausible or feel like a romance. Boy (Lord Weller) sees unconscious girl (Maddie)in a storm, strips her to warm her up and nothing happens, but when she awakens they're now in love and get married to save her reputation.

Same thing happens later with a secondary character, Felicity with Maddie's dad. She's been living as a widow and a friend to Maddie. Aside from staying a few days and visiting with Maddie here and there, all of a sudden Maddie's father asks Felicity to marry him and bam! They're in love. No moments that lead up to these feelings, no build up, no nothing - leading to the romance or proposal: for either couple. Just didn't jive to me. =(

I usually enjoy Nicole Byrd
