I think this was the longest read of my life. Took forever to get through (it seems like, anyhow) and the story was looooooong and drawn out. That's not to say it was bad, it really was a good story, but the author's style had me setting the book down way too much to go off and do other things. Multiple breaks in every chapter and the ball didn't really start to roll until about page 220. However, an enjoyable story for any reader who really wants to be in-depth with the characters. I don't continue to read books that bore me--and I made it through this one. :-)

Maggie Chantel had been running from her pain-filled past for a year when she finally decided to stop. She chose a small Lake Michigan tourist community called Blanchefleur to settle. Someone had been hunting her for a year and people in her small town were beginning to die.

maggie is running from memories too painful and frightening to remember.but someone in the shadows is determened that maggie will not live to love anyone else
