An excellent read, both my wife and I found it to be a compelling story that we hated to see come to an end.

I really enjoyed this book. Great likeable characters. As the title might indicate, the plot twists, turns, and toward the end surprises.

Any book written by John Irving is worth reading. he is by far my favorite author. I've only just begun Last Night in Twisted River but already he has taken me to a completely different way of life with interesting people. I expect to enjoy every minute of the adventure.

Once again, Mr. Irving did not disappoint. I had a little trouble getting started, not being very interested in the logging industry, but once the story got going and the characters became real, I was hooked and couldn't put it down.

I won an ARC of this book in the first reads giveaway!

This was my first John Irving novel. I liked the story, but it had a VERY slow start and a lot of rambling on about unimportant details.
