Belcher attempts to write "A Layman's Guide to the Lordship Controversy," and if he had ended his book with part two, he would have met his goal. The first two parts present the two sides of this issue with fairness and in terms each side would agree to. But then he drives off a cliff; the third part is a critique of only one side. He has already compared the two sides to each and to Scripture; then he critiques the one side he dislikes. This book would be far better if it was half as long. But because it does not end, it is damaging to the debate and less than useless -- unless one is looking for a slanted view against what the author disingenuously calls "non-lordship" salvation.
