Check out todays PBS Daily Digest Gay & Lesbian book postings.  Four books have popped up in the past hour that I can find no other information on: invalid ISBN, no information about the author, the publisher look suspiscious and no book covers.  They are: Brent is gay by Brent Radcliff, Budda Stain by johnny Peterson, Chris Johnson Is Weird by Chris Johnson and peter answers all by Peter frim.  (Notice some words capitalized, others are not.)  I just thought I'd bring it to your attention first in here before going to report some "fishy business" that may be unfounded.  Is anyone in here familiar with these titles or authors?  Or is someone just malisciously posting fake books to acrue credits?  I've seen this happen in other online swapping sites.

UPDATE:  Well I think my suspiscions are correct.  The latest book posted in the Gay & Lesbian genre is called:

Title: iusfhgkjhejklhadskhfladjkh

Author: jkl;hlkuhgkjhghj ISBN-13: 9783434537359 ISBN-10: 343453735X Book Type: Paperback Posted: 10/26/2007 12:01 PM ET

I've just written Richard and Robert regarding this matter.

3:00pm: And my FINAL update on this matter.  The coast is now clear.  The culprits were discovered and R&R quickly de-activated their accounts and are removing the book titles in question.  Other genres within the PBS system were targeted as well.

Thanks for this - I don't get why people do this kind of thing...

OK, I'm glad someone else noticed this.  I thought a book called "Chris Johnson is Weird" by Chris Johnson sounded pretty entertaining, but I searched it too and found it didn't seem to exist.  When I saw Chris Johnson was also the publisher I figured something was up for sure.  Good job cracking the case!

Of course, now if I write my memoirs and title them "Jeff Vincent is Weird" none of you will think it's a real book!
