Wow! What an amazing book. Very thought provoking and interesting. I am definitely having my middle schooler read it - it gives such a great sense of the larger world and what we can do in our own small ways - some things do not even cost money! Great gift - great book club book - highly recommend. Quick and easy read - I will definitely be getting more to give as gifts.

If well placed, small contributions can made a substantial difference. The author, having longtime experience in the NGO business, begins with defining the 'how and why' of giving, then follows with sections on targeting hunger, education, health, infrastructure, etc. These have to suffice for those who use this book as an 'advisory' as there is no index.
