These are classic mysteries. I recommend them highly if you are a mystery fan. They also give a marvelous picture of life in the 40s, 50s, 60s. Character-focused stories with continuing characters of the detectives, amateur and professional, and their cats (and a Great Dane for some Heimrich books). The Lockridges are probably best known for the Mr and Mrs North mysteries, and the Lieutenant/Captain/Inspector Heimrich ones.
