I liked Linda Howard's Angel Creek  and A Lady of the West. I'm also pretty sure those books were put out in a 2 books in 1 at some point too.

Sandra Brown had some good western historicals. One was Sunset Embrace. There was a sequel to it. I'll look up the title.

ETA: Another Dawn is the sequel. Hidden Fires by Brown was pretty good too.  I also checked and the 2 in 1 book with Angel Creek and A Lady of the West is posted.

Here are some recommendations for you, but I don't have any of them on my shelf.  Sorry.  I'm keeping them.

Jill Gregory - Rough Wrangler, Tender Kisses / Once an Outlaw / Cold Night, Warm Stranger / Cherished -- She's written more, but I haven't read them yet.

Pat Pritchard - A Lawman for Christmas (part of a series)

Elizabeth Lowell's "Only" Series and "Reckless Love"

Nora Roberts - "Lawless"

I'm doing a 2 for 1 on my shelf now, and have a few dozen western historical romances.  I looked at all my ratings, and none of them were less than "liked" reads, so I guess I can recommend them all ;)

Let me know if you find any you like!

Katrina
