Most of the story-line was intriguing and believable. A teen girl has an annoying younger brother, mother who is an addict and father who left the family for a younger woman - a common part of teens lives. BUT this family takes a trip this summer and that is when the story takes its unique twists and turns.

Would not recommend for the naive young teen (13 to 15) due to language, drug & alcohol usage.

I didn't rate it higher only because I felt the author tried too hard to victimize the main character in some situations.

I will be suggesting this to my teen students!
