Hello,

I tend to read alot about Animal Rescue, Animal inspired books, etc. And wondered if anyone else would like to start a forum about books we are currently reading/have read that we'd like to share and swap.

I just finished Terri Crisp's Out of harms way, as well as Richard Adam's The unbroken web. Both were very good.  I am currently reading Zamba by Ralph Helfer.  If you haven't read MODOC yet, please do! Zamba is from the same author/animal trainer who trains with non violent ways.  Very inspiring reading!

Check out my bookshelf!  Hope to hear from you soon!

Just finished ZAMBA and it was really touching.

Someone should snatch that book up too! ;-)

Be sure to check out my new game as we play.  Animal Practice - A Elephant Swap w/ a identity twist .  There will be lots of great animal books offered.

One of my favorite series was Colleen Coble's Rock Harbor which includes search and rescue dogs.

Nora Robert's "Search" has some excellent training scenes.

Lost Dogs And Lonely Hearts by Lucy Dillon is good.

I am eager to read,  The Lucky Dog Matchmaking Service :: Beth Kendrick, and have it on my WL.

I could list quite a few I have read.  I'll have to check out Zamba.

ETA:  My books are fiction (as I'm sure you noticed).  I occassionally read non-fiction, but not often.

Cheryl...CUTE DOGGIE AVATAR!

I usually read the opposite of you...(More non fiction)  with the occassional fiction thrown in.

Zamba was very good. I bet you would like it. I am curently reading SIGHT DOG, and I think that is more fiction....take a look, or add to your WL.

Happy Reading!

If you are a animal or dog lover please let me know as I would then like to share something with you. This dog has the same medical problem as mine, it is called a collapsing trachea. The owner is trying to raise enough money for a stent to be inserted. If you would like more info or think you might want to help please message me & I will be glad to share the details! The dog is named Mossamoe & her owner is having to sleep on a air mattress on the floor with her. They live in Caribou, Maine. I live in Spartanburg, S.C. This is near to my heart!sad
