I was emotionally all over the board on this one. At first I liked the story but had mixed feelings about the main character, Missy. She seemed kind of grumpy and seemed to blame everyone for her misfortunes. I had a hard time wanting to read about her but luckily everything happening around her was interesting. Then as I got to know her, I started to understand her. I started to feel for her and wanted to help her. To see how she lived her life for everyone else and had no idea what to do when those people was gone was heart wrenching. As we see Missy grow into her new life with new promises, the story really gets to you. Found myself crying a few times (which is unusual for me). Loved the story and loved the characters most of all.
