For my money, Kelly Link is the best American short story writer alive. Her creative and singular brand of speculative fiction leaves me literally breathless. The title story of this particular collection is mind-blowingly good. The fact that she isn't better known is shameful.

I enjoyed this collection of short stories in which the odd and familiar live side by side. Some of my favorite stories were "Catskin" and "Magic for Beginners."
