I looked forward to reading this book for quite some time, but was ultimately disappointed by its lack of size and its virtual exclusion of any personal ads in the post-1950s era.

Quite a good read if you enjoy taking a look back at personal ads from the ninteenth and early-twentieth centuries.

I really liked the fact that this books had personals from the 1800s and early 1900s. I found these to be the most interesting because of the way of speaking. While my mate and I were reading, we were noting how much times have changed in comparison to now. This book is worth reading just for being such a great time capsule.

As a long time lover of reading personal ads, this book was an interesting read. It focuses more on the late 1800's and early 1900's. Think I was expecting more recent ones, so I was disappointed in that sense. But found it to be very interesting seeing what personal ads were like so long ago.
