Remarkable story of Paul's life in fiction form. The research Cash did for the historic background is exceptional!

Johnny Cash spent nine years studying and writing about the life of St. Paul. Cash identified with Paul's experience. To him, Paul represented a study of profound transformation in the life of a human being.

Man in White covers Saul's early obsession with destroying the Christian movement, describes his ex traordinary conversion on the road to Damascus, and charts the beginnings of his missionary work. While the story is dramatic, Cash brings to it an uncanny instinct about Paul's personality, experience and emotions. His passion for detail and his understanding of human nature make Man in Wite immediate, believable, and moving.

Johnny Cash was one the greatest entertainers to grace this Earth. With this book, he also showed his talent as an author.

Tremendous book!

I did not like this book. I couldn't get into it and it didn't hold my attention. I am a huge fan of Johnny Cash, I guess more his music than his writing.

As a life-time Johnny Cash fan, I've always been interested in his gospel message behind his public persona. This book shines a light into his heart revealing his love for his Messiah and the message of the Scriptures as he understood them. Johnny often talked of his desire to bring out more of his "evangelistic" side in his life, but his role as a country music superstar seemed to keep him away from doing that. Sadly many of his music fans miss out on the deeper things that were going on inside of him and they only see him as "the man in black". Learning about "the man in white" brings even more depth and perspective to one of country music's greatest singers/songwriters/performers ever.
