This is a must read for everyone who has somewhat been affected by a drunk driver. Mary Anne Spier, the books storyteller, gets assigned to work on an English project with her friend Amelia. The night after the get started on it, Amelia's family get into a car crash by a drunk driver. her parents and brother were only injured, but Amelia was killed on contact. Mary Anne and everyone at SMS is devistated. After awhile, everyone gets over it. But not Mary Anne. She feels she has to do something else. So her and her friend launch a project to raise awareness about drunk driving at SMS. They form a Stoneybrook chapter of S.A.D.D (Students Agenst Drunk Driving), a memory garden for Amelia, and many other things for Amelia. Even if you are not a fan of the Baby-Sitters Club, it's a heartwarming tale that you won't regret reading.
