There are eighteen letters in all, and each one of these letters share in the drama and the scenarios of Bob's journey down to Texas when he purchased a large herd of Texas longhorn cattle and had them trailed up to Mary Ann's Range in Wyoming territory. It was from those letters the author had the opportunity to know the strength of the story's characters, and the strong willed cowboys and the drovers Bob mingled with. And it was from those letters he also witness firsthand the unbelievable circumstances which had taken place in each of their lives, thus creating the flow of rhythm necessary for an interesting novel. This western saga was written to be action-oriented, focusing on clues inserted in the first few chapters about the historic railroads, and the legendary pioneers who followed the buffalo trails which were worn moccasin-smooth into a saga of this western romance.
