This was a really fun read. I read it only one day, couldn't put it down. I've only read one other book by Dickey, but I think I'm becoming a fan.

Jorden Green was in culture shock when he arrived in Manhattan from his Tennessee hometown. It seemed like rush hour lasted twenty-four hours a day- but he managed to keep the peace and stay in the race, with a Wall Sreet job, a Queens apartment, and a sexy girlfriend named J'nette.
But when Jorden meets Kimberly Chavers, what really starts racing is his heart. This girl is funny, feisty, fine...and white. And for a man with Malcom X's picture hanging on his office wall, that's a definite problem....
I like that the book is written by a guy. Also we have both Jordan and Kimberly chapters.

Mr. Dickey has talent that you never can see coming until it hits you! This book, much like his others, has great characters that you can picture throughout the book.

Though it isn't his best by far, the storyline moves at a very well pace, and the characters almost make you feel as if your in the story standing right there arguing along with everyone else. Pretty good rainy lazy day read.
