Since I love anything paranormal, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Since I live in Louisiana myself, I was naturally drawn into it from the first page, interested in seeing if the author's depiction of the people here was accurate (it was!). If you're interested in ghosts, psychics, mysteries and love, this is definately for you.

This is the first book I've read by Dinah McCall, and I enjoyed her writing style and the story. Mimosa Grove is full of action and emotion, with good character development and vivid imagery. I didn't want to put the book down.

It's the story of a woman with inherited psychic ability, the rejection, acceptance and fate that she and her gifted ancestors endured because of their abilities. Most of the story is set in Louisiana, at a beautiful old ancestral estate. The story includes love, lifesaving, suffering, murder and ghostly mystery. It's a nice book selection for a reader openminded to the sixth sense.

Great fast paced read about a woman with the ability to see things that others can't. She inherits her grandmother's house in Louisiana and discovers the man that she has been seeing in her dreams.

Laurel Scanton moved home to her grandmother's plantation home called Mimosa Grove ~~ and found to her delight for the first time in her life, being accepted for who she is, in spite of her special "gift." She has the gift of sight ~~ an ability passed down to the eldest daughter of each generation. When she moved home, she discovered more history to her gift than she has ever realized. And she also discover true love.

But at the same time, trouble is brewing for Laurel and her father ~~ and this novel talks about how Laurel dealt with it all ~~ falling in love, finding historical facts of her family's tree and fighting off evil that seems to lurk everywhere.

This is a gripping and intense novel ~~ perfect for reading outside during these hot days of summer. This is my first Dinah McCall book and I hope to read more of her!
