Elementary school age Jolene feels sad after her Dad dies but she feels close to him whenever she looks up at the night sky. Now it is just Momma, Grandpa and her and that seems just enough. Then Leroy Redfield shows up and starts taking Momma on dates. The best thing to do is to find a way to hurt "Mister" Leroy; but he thinks the best thing to do is make friends with Jolene. Just who is going to win in this triangle? Written by an author who understands children and their feelings and knows how to plot an interesting story. Written as juvenile fiction and about an Afro-American family, this book will interest all people who have to learn that life can and will change.
