The third book in the Monere series, and definitely a steamy one. I like the characters, but I feel sometimes my least favorite character is Mona Lisa. I want her more fleshed out. I also wish she could commit to someone or at least the same few someones. Are we just going to keep seeing her discover new men she wants, only to discard the previous ones? It also seems like Amber is becoming less of a character and getting pushed further out. He seems very 2D when he does make an appearance.

One particular thing I found quite annoying, was the way things were summarized from previous books. Every time something needed to be clarified it felt forced. Like, here, let's stop the story so we can tell you what happened, and now back to the story. There was no flow at all in that regard. I understand the need to try to make it a stand alone book, but it was done very poorly.

Overall, I did enjoy the book, I read it very quickly, but I did feel something lacking with the story and the characters. I am curious what will happen with Dante in the future. Will he be continued as an important man in her life, good or bad? Or will he get tossed to the side of the story like the rest have been?

We shall see in 2009 I suppose.

I really enjoyed this book. Sunny's world of the Alien race of the Monere, Children of the Moon, is completely enchanting and I cannot wait for Mona Lisa Darkening. There are also Demons, and Half Blood Monere, part human and part Monere. Read this book but read the previous two books,it is worth it. I will be reading the other series that was started as demon's sister in this book, Lucinda. Sunny, I love your imaginative world very much. Readers, you will need to appreciate sensuality and sexy love scenes with beautiful men.

This is the third book in the Children of the Moon series by Sunny. It was okay, nothing special. In fact I think I liked the second book a bit more.

In this book Mona Lisa continues the mindless wandering of the second book. She ends up kidnapped and this circumstance winds up leading to a number of interesting consequences. That is really all I can say without giving away some major plot points of the book.

Initially it appears that Halcyon is going to feature prominently in this book, which made me very excited. Unfortunately he is quickly dropped to the background. Amber is also scarce in this book. The man who dominates this book is called Dante, he is a rogue whom Mona Lisa meets when she is kidnapped. Having the characters past lives affect their actions was interesting. Unfortunately given the path of events in this book I am not really sure what the point of this book was. I thought things were being set up for some very interesting events to occur in future books, then all of that setup was dashed to bits at the end of the book.

There was a lot of sex again, although I do feel that this book had more action than some of the previous books. Normally I would like the additional action scenes, but for some reason they didn't add much to the story. I didn't really like any of the new character additions either. I did like the inclusion of demon nature into Mona Lisa's character. Hopefully that will be expanded on in the next book. As I said, this wasn't a horrible book, just not great. Once again it was a very quick read, only took me a few hours to read it. Hopefully the next book will have a more cohesive plot and delve into some more interesting things about Mona Lisa's demon part.

I really was hoping for a solid love story between Mona Lisa and Halcyon, and Mona Lisa and Amber. I would have rather seen her pregnant by Amber. The addition of Dante really was out of no where and I agree with other reviwers that she tosses aside men too much. Poor Dontaine just waiting in the wings all of the time. I like the story I would just like to see a little more relationship with the men.

I believe this is one of her best books yet.It took me a day and a half to read it.lol. Thats just how good this book was. I like how she made sureto take time introducing each new character. In this book, it shows how much Mona Lisa is learning more and coping with her beginning a Monere Queen. I cant wait until Mona Lisa Darkening comes out. I think this book will be enjoyed by anyone who likes paranormal romance. This series is just awesome, and so much different than the normal vampire/werewolf stories!
