I'm sorry that I couldn't finish you, Mortality Bridge, but it's my fault not yours. I looked for this book forever, but once I started it - no. It's a journey through hell, and Boyett describes it with disgusting, degrading, depressing, but brilliant detail. It's wonderfully vivid writing and I couldn't get past 150 pages. I am positive that someone with a stronger stomach will find an impressive book, rich with allusions and references to classics, and knowing Boyett there will not be a solid happy ending but something more ambiguous. He's talented. But I can't read this.
