Once I got used to the writing style, I really enjoyed this book. After devoting twenty years to making her family and business life successful, Mrs. Fytton's husband tosses her over for a helpless fluff. She retreats to the simpler life of the country---but it really isn't simpler. And in the end, she sorts out her life in a funny, unexpected manner.

Touching yet sometimes hysterical account of a woman who thought she was the perfect wife, and how she handles the single life in the country after her husband dumps her for a sweet young thing. Fun read for those of us over 40, and even more fun if you've ever been dumped for someone younger or prettier.
