Extremely entertaining murder mystery - a take-off of Agatha Christie. Elizabeth Parker and her Aunt Winnie are engaging characters with a love of all things Jane Austen. Story keeps moving with some laugh out loud moments.Quite enjoyable. Can't wait to read next in the series.

Murder at Longbourn is an entertaining murder mystery with amusing characters and a decent plot.

I found Elizabeth Parker (the protagonist) to be likable and realistic. She only starts investigating the murder when it becomes obvious that her aunt is the prime suspect and will likely be arrested.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and will continue to read the series.

Loved that this book isn't really trying to twist itself in pieces to fit into a Pride and Prejudice mold. The protagonist and her aunt love Jane Austen, so the aunt has named her B & B Longbourn Inn. A love/hate relationship between our heroine and a young man is as close as this book comes to "channeling" P&P. Otherwise, it's a lovely little cozy. Nothing heavy and yet, not too contrived or frothy. I have read the second of the series, and am ready to start the third...

Nice, light read. Nothing wonderful here, but Tracy Kiely manages to pay homage to Jane Austen without stealing her plots and too many of her characters, so these days, that's something! I found I pretty quickly liked the main characters, and loved how much they liked Austen...

Elizabeth Parker has broken up with her boyfriend ...She escapes to her Aunt Winnie's B&B for a murder mystery dinner party to be held on New Years Eve. The lights go out, a shot pierces the darkness and Gerald Ramsey is dead...The prime suspect is Winnie, who has just had an argument with the dead man. He wanted the Inn and threatened to obtain it by any means possible. Elizabeth is afraid that the police will stop looking for the real killer, as the evidence against her aunt piles up.....A fun cozy read....some twists and turns....I will read the next in the series.....
