Nice collection of the former 'Known Space' stories and others. Particularly liked re-reading "man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex". Hilarious.

I didn't realize that this book was partially composed of excerpts from Niven's other works. There's also a few essays, along with commentary and historical (behind-the-scenes) info.

If you're a big Larry Niven fan, this may be a must-have. I like Niven, but haven't read that much of his work, so parts of this book weren't very meaningful to me.

Even though the book wasn't what I expected, it does include whole short stories, and many/most of the excerpts have whetted my appetite for the books they were taken from.

Although this is an anthology I enjoyed the short stories very much. Larry Niven is a very accomplished author and his imagination is lagendary and quite entertaining.
