This book will have your attention from the very 1st page until the end. I could not put this book down. I read it in 1 day. The trauma that thie litte girl goes through, I feel no one should have to suffer with this pain. I told my mother about this book and she had some of the similar things happen to her. You must read this book.

This book really reminds me of a friend I grow up with who had a childhood that was similar....it's sad when you have to be your parents parent and also parent her other children, all while being abused, neglected and having your own childhood "snatched" away never to return again!!!! Sad but real!!!

Very good read. Disturbing life of a young girl living in the projects who has to take over becoming the mother to her siblings.
